Sister Marilyn Jean Runkel, OP shred what the four pillars of Dominican life are to the 2019 associate candidate class on Sunday, October 13, 2019. The sharing and discussion in the session was centered around four core values: Prayer, Study, Community, and Preaching (Ministry/Service). The root of all Dominican life is prayer. Several types of prayer we discussed: standing, bowing, sitting, genuflecting, contemplation, steps in Lectio Divina, centering prayer, Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be to the Father, the rosary, novenas, litanies, prayers before meals, morning and night prayers, and simply talking to God.
